"THE TRUTH IS..."

A New Christianity

If you are looking for a new Christianity - forget it - you won't find it. You will find an enterprising Christianity, a social Christianity, a Christianity content with allegories and you will most assuredly find a watered down, lukewarm and basically empty Christianity, but you won't find a "NEW" Christianity.

Of course, you can resurrect the simple Gospel of the first century and introduce that as a "New Christianity." But remember, the Gospel of the first century A.D. was so evangelistically powerful, Rome martyred Christians by the thousands to quell the promised return and takeover of the King of the Jews.

If you think the world is a friend to the Church of today, you are a lukewarm Christian without understanding. You are a dreamer without a glimmer of reality. You will surely perish for lack of knowledge because you have been too spiritually dead to read and study God's Word for yourself. You have enjoyed no spiritual hunger and thirst for more of Jesus. You have been content with what you have been told, which is:

"All you have to do is join the Church and support it with your tithes and offerings. You don't have to read and study Scripture because that is the job of your pastor and you can learn all you need to know from him."

The pastor will tell you that you don't need to understand the Rapture and the Tribulation - and you certainly don't need to get involved with the Book of Revelation. Just be a good Church member and a good Christian and you will be ready when that time comes - if it comes in your lifetime...

If you are in a Church like this - get out now!

And starting now, remember this: true Christianity cannot be duplicated. It can be mimicked, it can be simulated, it can be made to look and sound so real it can deceive the very elect, if possible, but it can never be duplicated. In Christianity's purest form it releases unshakeable faith, undeniable joy, forgiveness that forgets and fountains of love flowing, flowing, flowing in all directions.

True Christianity is the Divine expression of the Most Holy God. There is nothing human about it, except that it is held, treasured and shared through human vessels. It cannot be mass marketed for the spiritually lazy. Nor for those seeking an academic salvation - a head knowledge without a circumcision of the heart. Such as these just want a quick fix. They want personal insurance against hell, but they do not want to pay the premiums...

Just because there is a lectern, a choir loft and a baptismal does not mean that particular Church is holy. Just because there is a pastor, a Cross and a well-attended Sunday service does not mean that particular church exalts Jesus Christ. It just may exalt the good works of the local Church or the good works of the individual Christian, or quite possibly, the Sunday Sabbath, calling it holy. The young people may be wearing shorts, tank tops and flip-flops but - the pastor will tell you the sanctuary is holy...

Now, we know the true Sabbath is the 7th day, don't we? And we know that God never rescinded that commandment, nor did Jesus, after His resurrection, give any hint of a change in the Sabbath. First century Christians honored both days - the Saturday Sabbath which is God's Holy Sabbath and, "The Lord's Day" (of resurrection) which is the first day of the week.

The Apostle John was in the Spirit on the isle of Patmos on "The Lord's Day" when he received the Revelation from Jesus Christ. He was told to, "write down all that you see and hear." This command could not have been given to John on Saturday the 7th day without breaking God's Holy Sabbath. Jesus would never break the Sabbath, and He would never ask another to do so. But it was Sunday, the first day of the week, and Jesus ordered John to write...

Sunday was the pagan day for worshipping the Sun-god. When Rome moved the Sabbath to the Sun-day of worship, the world's Protestant churches followed Catholic Rome to avoid division in the world's diverse and growing denominations. This was accomplished regardless of God's Commandment to honor HIS Sabbath day and to keep it holy. The world followed the dictates of foolish men rather than the commandments of God and changed the seasons and the times...

Where was the Church's example of obedience to God? We were never commanded nor encouraged to make the day of resurrection a new Sabbath. Christ Himself honored the 7th day Sabbath. He would never overrIde the Father. We can only imagine how He grieves at the presumptuous deeds of mortal men who "mean well" but do not listen well.

Slowly there are devout Protestant Christians of all denominations who are realizing this error in judgment and are recognizing the 7th day Sabbath. Either they were convinced by Scripture or the Holy Spirit made it known to them in a time of fellowship. God knows how to enlighten hearts and once we are shown the truth, we cannot claim ignorance or coercion ever again. Rather we are held accountable for the truth we have been given...

We need to remember that those that forget God, and begin to worship other idols and gods of this world, will suffer the consequences of their choice. Whole nations are at risk as well as individuals that once tasted of His Glory and, in a course of time, turned and walked back into the world.

They were probably fed moldy bread and toxic drink (compromised Word). Spiritual botulism is a widespread plague today, spoon-fed by smiling faces and charismatic personalities. There are pastors that are word-splitting and persuasive in the control of their sheep, especially if they themselves do not have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. For if they had given their sheep fresh bread and living waters, they never would have gone back into the world.

If you want the real thing, you will have to seek it from the Holy Spirit and from the literal Scriptures of God's Holy Word. You will learn to believe God and what God says in His Word, or you will never taste His sweetness. It is a dangerous thing to call God a liar, which is what we do when we doubt Him or don't believe His Word, and when we call Him a liar, we invite His anger.

Go - read the Books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy again. Then read Joshua. These are the books of the exodus from Egypt, the 40 years of wandering in the wilderness and the taking of the promised land. You will see how God dealt with the unbelief of His sheltered ones. Then ask yourself where the same doubt leaves you today...

This is not a day for doubting. Times are moving swiftly now, and prophecies are lining up to be fulfilled very quickly and suddenly. There is no time or reason for dallying in the sunshine when tomorrow could be the last day some of us will have on this earth. I do not want to frighten you but I do want to alert you to the judgments that are coming. These will be bad - really bad.

These will come without warning, soon now. These will be sent by God to a disobedient and wicked people who have been warned again and again and still they do not believe, neither will they turn from their wicked ways. They have put this nation under a curse and our people in the crosshairs of God's wrath.

What I would like to do is preach to you the old fashioned Gospel of Jesus Christ - not the willy-nilly good-feeling gooseybumps that tickle your ears and flutter your innards, but the truth, with the warnings that make the truth worth the seeking, and the Lord of Hosts worth the trusting...

If only you would grab hold of the old, and make it the new, there would be revival in America. Believe it - preach it - preach the truth come hell or high water - and tell those in shock they are going to shape up and get saved or they are most definitely going to hell.

Don't tickle their ears, shake their innards with the reverential fear of God in all His Holiness. Stir them with a double edged sword until they are pouring out joy and deliverance, salvation and thanksgiving, peace and cleanliness, for all the world to believe. Then assign someone to disciple them and give them over to God for eternity.

You don't want a new Christianity. You want the old one. It's in your King James Bible - go and find it -
