Witnesses For The Prosecution

In that long ago time in eternity past, when God lovingly created our souls and consigned each of us to be born in a specific generation and age to come, he chose and reserved you and me to be His witnesses in the generation he called, "the time of the end"...

This does not mean the world will end with this generation. It means the world as we know it, with its rampant greed for power and for riches, its wars and rumors of wars with its oppressing tyrannical leaders will undergo God's surgical scalpel to dissect and remove wickedness from every corner of the globe. Jesus Christ will take the reins as King of kings and Lord of lords and He will rule the nations with a rod of iron. There will be no elections to steal, no Acorn to corrupt whole communities, no unions to bleed laborers and their employers, and no racists to stir the pots of hatred. After the purging, a tribulation remnant of Godly men and women will know peace on earth in this generation.

We are witnesses for Christ the Savior in the earth, and we will be witnesses for Christ the Judge in the day of His wrath. We are witnesses of the things we see with our eyes, the things we hear in our ears, the vexings of our minds and our spirits, and the sufferings in our bodies. And though we forgive those that hate and despitefully use us,  the Spirit within us testifies of these things and confirm His Word. Even the dead   testify to man's cruelty to man. As the blood of righteous Abel cried out from the ground, the martyrs of this generation still live and they too cry out from the grave as witnesses...

Jesus prophesied of the end times just before He was arrested, tried and executed as a common criminal by Rome. Pilate, who had the power to set Him free, chose instead to oblige the public cries for His blood, cries that erupted from Jewish mockers who came out in obedience to the whispered commands of Annas and Caiaphas to gather and make trouble for this itinerant preacher. He had to be put to death and it would be better if the people demanded it...

There was a cloud of witnesses for that day too. They came to realize their Lord was born for the Cross. It was His love gift to the world, the shedding of His blood as the ultimate and final sacrifice for all who would believe. They witnessed His crucifixion, His resurrection and His ascension, and they wrote of these things so you and I could share in the glorious triumphs of that generation of witnesses.

Today, you and I have inherited the last days, the time of the end, the day of His appearing and the day of the "catching away."  I can't speak for you but as for me, I am seeing a lot - ancient prophecies taking shape and coming to life, prophecies spoken by Adam, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaiah, Joel, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Zechariah, and by Jesus Christ Himself - prophecies spoken by the breath of God. No word of God is ever lost. It is eternal and it will, in its timing, come to pass.

Today we are the witnesses that see this happening. The prosecution has stated its case against the men and women of earth, and now the prosecution rests while the defense teams scream, "The Christians and the Jews are to blame for our problems."

The Judge of the Universe looks to the prosecution and the accused stands forth. He  stands as the Husband of Israel and the Bridegroom of the Church before the powers and authorities of the world. But this time the one called Jesus stands majestically in His own power and in His own authority. Raising His fist and pointing His finger, He faces His accusers with the awesome thunder of His Word - "You hypocrites..."

We can be truly thankful for Jesus...
