"THE TRUTH IS..."

   The Meaning Of Faith

If the Lord Jesus Christ came to you personally and asked you to explain faith, what would you say? Would you quote the words of Paul, "Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen" ?

Would you stammer and stutter and struggle with your interpretation and explanation of Paul's words? Or would you simply and without hesitation testify that faith is believing it is so, even though all else in this world says such a thing cannot be?

I would hope and pray that the intimidating height of any pinnacle, testing your heart, soul and mind as it tested the heart, soul and mind of Christ at his temptation, would cause you to say to the devil immediately, "It is written, it is the Word of God, it is so..."

All praises be unto the Father, unto the Son and unto the Holy Ghost for the Grace poured out through the Written Word, wonderful Grace that cannot be denied, and cannot be retracted. It is with the kindness and the mercy of God that such Grace is given to the sinner who is convicted and repents, and it is with such love as man cannot imagine that we are plucked from the fires of condemnation before the soul can shout its first and most glorious testimony of Jesus Christ.

God has made us wonders with a Word in this earth as Jesus was the wonder of His day, for we are changed into His likeness once we truly believe. Then, how boldly we can say, "I know Him. I know Him personally. I know Him intimately. We walk together, hand in hand, and sometimes, when I am weary, He even carries me. He's my Lord, He's my Savior, He's my friend. Sometimes I smell the sweetness of Him. Sometimes I can feel His touch. Sometimes I can hear His voice. He is more real to me than anything or anyone in Heaven or on Earth. Without a moment's doubt, I trust Him...

That is faith that moves mountains. That is faith that endures. Knowing the Savior intimately, dwelling in the secret place of the most high, abiding under the shadow of the almighty, gathering sheaves to the Father and the forever kind of loves to the Son, gathering in obedience and sometimes in sacrifice, looking to my future home that was made for me in Glory, and being willing to give this earthly one up at any moment.

When we are alive in Him as He is alive in us, we walk by faith, live by faith and cling to the faith of God, who created the Heavens, the Earth, the Seas and all that are in them. It was the faith of God that created all things, therefore all things are possible and nothing is impossible with God. He has given all power and authority to His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, who has given all power and authority to you and me - when we truly believe.

Believing makes it possible. Believing makes it so. Hope is future, believing is now. The Word says so and the Word cannot fail. The Word is all powerful for it is Holy Word that lives and moves and has its being within Christ who lives and moves and has His being within you and me in the power of the Holy Ghost.

We are somebody - yes we are...
