Blow The Trumpet - Sound The Alarm

"Because you have made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, your habitation; There shall no evil befall you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways" (Psalm 91: 9-11).

My 22-year-old grandson is a recent May graduate of Virginia's prestigious VPI with an engineering degree. He called me last weekend to see if we could do lunch, then he drove the 40 miles from Blacksburg to spend the day with me. While he was dishing up his lunch, he said to me, "Grandmom, do you ever get the feeling something is rushing toward us, something that can't be identified?" Never before, in the 22 years of his young life, had I ever known him to be prophetic or visionary. Certainly he had never shared such a word with me before. "Yes," I replied, "something is definitely rushing toward us and we have no idea what it is."

The Lord recently gave me Exodus 23:25 to stand on, "And you shall serve the Lord your God, and He shall bless your bread, and your water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of you."

He was telling me that the time is very near when all we will have is our faith in Jesus Christ. If we are hungry God will feed us, if we are sick, He will heal us...

A warrior friend in Baltimore said the Lord gave her Psalm 91 to memorize and stand on - that He commanded it as a weapon for His saints in the days to come. I pass both scriptural references on to you as mighty weapons of our warfare. It is to be expected, in the heat of the battle, that many warriors will be wounded, some sorely wounded, some mortally wounded. But the battle that brings God Glory can never be a battle lost. And the rewards for valor and obedience to the call are immeasurable.

Like you I have listened to the various news headlines and happenings this past week with groanings and grievings that only the Holy Spirit can interpret. Without any respect whatsoever for the will of the people, our runaway Marxist Congress and their free-spending socialist president are slipping restrictions into our lives through the back door - left and right - and without pause.

One by one they are stripping away our religious freedoms and our privacy, and I hear very few pastors and patriots that are standing as Godly barriers against this flood of evil. Spirit-filled Christians, chosen, called and anointed for battle, are prepared to stand as barriers but too few Commanders of this army have ordered them to the battlefield and to their places in the battle lines. So I say to you all, will we sit idly in our recliners and wait for the death rattle of this country to herald the end of America, and the end of the Church, or will we rise up and be counted worthy to be part of this end-times battle that has already begun at the house of the Lord.

When Mr. Obama (I cannot call him president) orders the symbols of our Christianity be covered up or removed from the platforms of universities before he speaks to the students, he is no Christian, he is a smooth politician with a serpentine tongue. When he blackmails Israel, demanding Israel do what he demands they do, he is a tyrant, imposing his godless will onto a sovereign nation. I am thankful that God has seen fit to set Bibi Netanyahu on the throne for such a time as this, for Bibi will be the barrier of supernatural strength against Washington.

And while all this is going on, the saints of God, called to be warriors, have to get into their places and fill in the gaps left by those that have fallen. If there are gaps in the battle lines, the enemy can infiltrate the lines and crush us. Those gaps have to be filled, they have to be closed up, they have to be guarded. Warriors - Saints - Prophets - Pastors and Evangelists - stir up those gifts within you and boldly race to the front lines of battle to stop the enemy from advancing. We have the weapons of warfare that can repel the enemy - even crush him - if we will face him in the boldness of the Spirit and the faith of God.

The faith of God? What kind of faith is that? Jesus told his disciples to "have the faith OF God," that while we all have faith IN God, it is vital that we have the faith OF God as well. This is the kind of faith that creates worlds and moves mountains, stops the rain (Elijah) and the sun (Joshua), and whose long-dead-but-Holy Spirit-saturated-bones raises the dead (Elisha).

The warriors of the past knew how to fight, and they knew how to win. They knew that when you fight on the Lord's side, without compromise of truth or duty, without tolerance or fear for foe, the victory is certain for the battle is the Lord's. His weapons of warfare are released as our own weapons of faith are released. It is a spiritual battle, waged in the heavenlies as well as on the ground. Every principality and fortress the enemy boasts has to be pulled down and destroyed by the Word and the Sword of the mighty, those that stand and fight in the power of God's holiness.

Get on your faces then get into your places, saints. Close up your ranks and fill the gaps. The evil one came again through the back door and ploughed our turf with the sowing of wild weeds for our poisonous destruction. These weeds are deadly, they are lies, deceptions, conspiracies to do wickedness by control, conspiracies to destroy and bury all mention or acknowledgement of God in this land and any hint of freedom of will and election. A foreigner occupies the White House, an Antiochus Epiphanes American style is in the making, and unless the saints of God rise up and put that serpent under our feet there will be no more America or freedom for anyone in this world.

I charge you this day to do what Joshua would have charged you to do, what Moses would have charged you to do, what David would have charged you to do - choose this day whom you will serve - God or the godless...

And ask yourself how you will answer the Savior when He asks, "Were you engaged in those heavy battles of 2009? Did you fight for me as I once fought the forces of hell for you?"
