"THE TRUTH IS..." Prediction for January 20, 2009 On January 6, 2009, e-mail warnings went out to the Green Chip Review readers from Nick Hodge, editor of Green Chip Review. In this warning he stated (and I paraphrase), that Forbes recently interviewed Peter Schiff, President of Euro Pacific Capital, otherwise known as Dr. Doom. It was Peter Schiff, a.k.a. Dr. Doom, who predicted and pinpointed the financial crisis of 2008. Forbes believed Dr. Doom's latest warning could and probably would affect each and every American, and so the warning was sent out and it stated the following: "In short, starting 14 days from now, the dollar is about to experience its biggest plummet yet, as the Obama administration prepares to print off several trillion more greenbacks...money used to pay for the coming stimulus packages, bailouts, and to create nearly 2.5 million jobs. "This move, Dr. Doom reports, will create an unprecedented amount of inflation...and cause gold prices to absolutely skyrocket. It's an alert we have been warning you about for months. And it's already started..." Having read just that little bit, I took a quick look at the calendar over my desk - 14 days from January 6 would be January 20 - Inauguration Day... Will this cryptic plummet of the dollar be the event that crashes the Barack Obama Inauguration? Or will the inauguration itself bring about the plummet of the dollar, announcing a tell-tale lack of confidence Americans have in their new president? Will it be a supernatural warning to the new president that his plans for the super-spending of trillions are now cancelled? Or will this predicted plummet be the consequence of yesterday’s vile corruptions and today’s continued rejections of the absolutes of truth? What does Dr. Doom know that we don't know? Perhaps it will be a day and an event that will surprise us all, perhaps not. Perhaps it will all be hogwash and horse-spit, perhaps it will be smoke and mirrors, in any case, millions of Americans will be watching and listening: Christians, Jews, Muslims, witches, atheists, and agnostics… And God… And so we are warned - in less than two weeks, on January 20, 2009, Inauguration Day, the dollar may no longer be accepted in world banks. I have heard OPEC no longer accepts the dollar as payment for oil, but demands payment with Euros. I am surprised we haven't heard more of this on the media alerts - talk shows - etc. so we would all be informed right up front. Friends, this is startling news, perhaps another warning of January 20th... I am not writing this to frighten you - this was written by powerful men in the know and sent out in gross mailings. It is their warning to you and me that whatever happens on January 20, it will most definitely be a day of change for the entire country, and for generations that may or may not adhere to the legacy left to them. What will we do when the dollar plummets? Does this mean Social Security will be insolvent? Will the country be bankrupt? Will Congress get paid whether the elderly on Social Security get a check or not? Will millions of elderly citizens with no other means of income, be impoverished overnight because Congress robbed Social Security over the years, leaving nothing but scraps of IOUs in the vault - never bothering to replace the funds they stole from us. So what will the country do with these elderly? What will the people do who have little children to feed? What will you do? What will the alien immigrants do who are here illegally? Will they go back to the land they came from or will they pillage and plunder, rob and kill for the only piece of bread we have in our mouth? What is going to happen to America and to Americans in these days ahead when and if the dollar plummets as Dr. Doom says it will. Now I admit, there are many voices out there and they tend by and large to contradict one another – not all of them prophesy gloom and doom and not all of them prophesy roses. I suggest we return to the Scriptures for the end-time prophesies and we will find enough warnings there to trouble us into a true repentance… I was born in 1932, the year the Great Depression began. And I was nine years old in 1941 when Japan drew America into WW11. It was WW11 that brought this country out of its depression, but times were different then, people were different. You could trust your neighbor – you could trust the stranger… Between the war and the depression, everything was rationed and everything was sacrificed willingly for the needs and comforts of our brave troops. We were allowed (by coupon) one pound of meat per week per family so our troops could have the protein and the food they needed. All dairy products were rationed, gas and rubber tires were rationed, shoes (all leather goods) were rationed - we were allowed two pair a year - one pair for the winter and one for the summer. We walked a lot because of the gas shortage. And we ate a lot of beans and cornbread because brown beans (Pinto and October beans) are a meat substitute. And no one complained… Backyard “Victory Gardens” sprung up all across America. In the heart of the cities gardens sprang up in empty lots, in balcony buckets and in 4 x 4 backyard corners of row homes. It was a united home front, every bit as important to the war effort as the assembly lines that kept our boys supplied. And our women didn’t just sit and do nothing. They worked hard to hasten the return of their men and counted it a privilege to have a part in still caring for them, though thousands of miles apart. I still have my WW11 ration coupon books with coupons still in them from August 1945 when the war ended. I was thirteen years old, at a church camp when the word came. Two days later the camp closed and the girls were sent home to their families for this momentous occasion. On September 2, 1945 (my birthday), the surrender of the Empire of Japan was signed aboard the U.S.S. Missouri in Tokyo Bay, Japan. The father and grandfather of Senator John McCain were aboard that ship to witness the signing. The grandfather was an admiral in the US Navy. John's father would be the admiral in charge of the Pacific Fleet when John McCain's plane was shot down and he was taken prisoner in Viet Nam. John McCain graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in historical Annapolis, Maryland but he chose to fly rather than sail... I have a lot of respect for John McCain. He may be quiet and thoughtfully hesitant before answering important questions, but I believe this is a trait he acquired when he was a prisoner, victim of continuous interrogations and beatings. One would naturally be aware of his words and his answers to specific questions that could endanger hundreds or thousands of others. I pray as I have prayed for several years, that God will bless and keep this American son of the old guards from the corruption he is surrounded with, and fill his heart with compassion for those that do not understand why this man never gives up... America grew them tough and responsible in those days, and as they grew they became patriots. Today they are in their 70s and 80s and we honor them and their integrity and support of the past and their continued support of this great land today. God bless the survivors of the greatest age in American history – 1929 to 1963 – 34 years, an age of strength to remember… These elderly will be the ones that will advise and help the young ones to survive the next years of need – if and when that time comes again to America. I am ready - I think - for the trials that are coming. Because we don't yet know what those trials will be, or how they may totally change our lives, we can only be prepared in our hearts and minds to follow the instructions of the Holy Spirit and the leading of the only wise counselor we know. We can stock up food and water, and we can prepare with a plan for helping the less fortunate, but God can change such plans in a moment. So we lean on Him, trust in Him, and listen, always listening, for His instruction. He knows what is around the corner and down the street, so we will trust Him to alert us and keep us safe. And on January 20th, 2009, we will see if Dr. Doom has pinpointed another catastrophe for America, or if he has been upstaged by the God of surprises… Joan Krempel
