"THE TRUTH IS..."

ELECTION E-MAIL TO MY FRIENDS

I couldn't sleep last night and I couldn't be still, thus I wrestled with the Father until 4 a.m. At that point He answered my dumb questions and, knowing I had been soundly corrected, I drifted off to sleep knowing this was far from being just another American election. This was a world election, this was confirmation of the times we are in, this was judgment arriving - first the device (Obama) then the one who pushes the remote button (the Father).

I had laid the blame on corruption, voter fraud, a biased media and the very new and very young voters who did not know what they were doing. But God brushed all that away while I kept asking, "Then why?" He showed me the spiritual climate of this country and though I knew we were in deep spiritual slumber, I was not prepared for the decadence I was seeing in the halls of the Church.

"The Church elected him," The Lord said. "I could have intervened, just as you thought I would, but the Church did not repent as I required of them, and they did not ask me by faith to intervene."

He went on to show me (drop into my spirit) the light of several truths - first of all, He told me I was guilty of the sins of presumption, assumption, and taking His favor for granted. "There is a fine line between abiding faith and presumption," He said. Immediately I saw my guilt and immediately I repented and received the lesson as fine gold. Indeed there is a fine line between faith and presumption, and too often we Christians think we are walking by faith when we are simply presuming we are right with God and are in His favor. We assume we can ask and receive - whatever our little hearts desire. But it is not always so. Sometimes we ask in faith - and sometimes - as in this case - we simply assume too much...

The Father went on to show me - as though rewinding the past - stopping at certain clips in time to remind me of historical moments that are on this night being repeated. The Israelites wanted a king like the pagan nations that surrounded Israel, so God told Samuel to give them Saul - with the warning of what it would mean -

I saw the clips of adoring masses standing and cheering Obama as the Messiah, "The One" and the "god" for them. The thing that amazed me was Obama's negligence to correct them, to renounce their adorations and remind them he is not anyone's god or Messiah. He did not deny their presumptions...he just grew an inch taller...

He was the people's choice, and now, said the Lord, "the judgments will begin, and they will begin at the door of the Church that failed this nation. When my Church has been cleansed and my Bride is white and spotless, I will unleash on this nation a darkness they cannot imagine."

I knew then the Lord had also suffered the loss of righteousness in this election. His choice had been McCain and Palin, they had been offered as God's blessing on this nation, but the people had cried for Obama and God and His righteousness were rejected.

God had been humilitated, again, and just as Israel paid for her rejection of Christ in 70 A.D., America will pay for her rejection of God and His righteousness in the cold dark seasons to come.

I wept for the Father, seeing how devastated He was to be pushed aside and ignored. Oh, He could have blasted the lot of them on the spot but that was not the Father's way. His way is to wait, and lower the boom at a time and in a way of His choosing. He assured me that when He is ready to do so, His Bride would be safely separated from the world and preserved. Meanwhile, we will be tested, we will be refined as gold if we dare to walk with Him instead of the world, and we will be persecuted beyond our wildest imaginations, yet he that endures to the end shall be saved.

It is the beginning of the end as we have seen it through the eyes of the prophets and the words of Jesus. We knew we would face it - sometime - but we still wanted our cake while we ate it - which means - we still have to choose - the cake or the gold - we can't have it both ways...

It was not God's will, but it was God's love for all of us, saints and sinners alike, that convinced Him to turn the key and set the ageless plan into action. There will be periods of temporary prosperity and periods of temporary lack - we will not understand unless we are walking by faith and not by presumption.

And many of those that voted for Obama will be converted and saved in the tribulation years to come...It will be the greatest time of revival in history, and will bring in the greatest harvest of all time. Nevertheless, at a tremendous price. They do not realize it this morning, but in time they will see, they will repent, and they will be martyred for their faith but at least it will be faith and not presumption.

I saw my own weaknesses in the light of His pain and I am so ashamed and feel so naked before Him, and before you, that I was trapped in one of the delusions of the enemy who had apparently tempted me to trade my once unshakeable faith for presumption. We are to watch carefully, listen to the Father and not to the world, and we are to guard our hearts and our minds with the truth - the undiluted truth - we should never presume or suppose anything...

God bless each of you - thank you for being my friend and the friends of one another. We need each other now more than ever, and we need to encourage and be encouraged in the things of the Lord more than ever -

Joan
