Most of us do not realize there are such happenings within our own reach. We move along day after day and never see or hear of such things until we meet with the one who hears and knows everything there is to hear and know in small town, America. Where I live, that would be the small town barber... Betsy barbers most of the semi-drivers that stop to refuel, eat or just take a much needed break. They tell the most interesting stories. For example, one driver hauled high barbed-wire fencing - several loads of it - and asked no questions. Another hauled large sheets of solid steel, again several loads, and again, this driver asked no questions. But both left the scene in a hurry. Apparently such things are intended for construction of some kind of prison, perhaps concentration camps? Because the drivers were given no information and were told to just deliver and ask nothing, one can only speculate... Another told her he had seen guillotines being assembled at an undisclosed location. These drivers have apparently finished their pick-up and delivery assignments, and have not been back this way since... Betsy knows I am one that prepares for the unexpected as well as the expected. Most people rush out at the forecast of a winter storm and stock up on toilet paper, milk and bread, but there are also many of us that stay prepared for any storm any time of the year. In other words, we see the signs of the times and we know to stay stocked and prepared for whatever and whenever an emergency arises. If Jesus calls the Church home before the emergency arrives, then Praise the Lord - someone left behind will need those provisions. Perhaps they will read all those books in the shelves and even drive my car. Perhaps the provisions will feed one or two of the 144,000 Jewish evangelists sent by the Lord into the whole earth, for I have prayed God would guide His tribulation converts to this place to be blessed by the readiness I have tried to maintain. So I was not surprised when Betsy told me yesterday that she was alerted by someone who works at the Pentagon that all government workers had received a letter from their department heads to stock up enough food and water, detergents and batteries, to last six months. As you well know, there has been nothing on the news about this. I am not able to say this is real, I can only relate what was told to me by a friend who had no reason to doubt the source that alerted her. Since we are in a Republican Administration, I cannot believe the liberal Democrat media is bypassing a chance to belittle President Bush and his policies by not screaming these secret things to the public. Unless they are under a gag order to avert panic...but of course, they would find a way to break that order for news like this...they would do anything to be able to make a mockery of George Bush, or accuse him of being one who invites, indeed provokes, attack on the American people. While it is true we often disagree with President Bush, and have been sorely disappointed with most of his foreign policies, we recognize him as a man who has a heart for God that far outweighs his knowledge and understanding of the scriptures. Without true understanding, with deceived advisors and errant teachers, it is still the heart and the heart alone that steers him through the fog of political liberalism. Blame him they would, blame him they will, but God will have the last Word over the man in the White House that prays by faith, and covers all our heads, just as he promised… They forget George Bush has successfully protected America from another terrorist attack for the past seven years. Several attacks have been attempted and thwarted during this time, thanks to our intelligence services and our Homeland Security and a President who is on the ball, who made a commitment to America and intends to keep it even though the people he has sworn to protect have grown weary of him... Then this morning I received e-mail after e-mail from friends all across the country saying practically the same thing, "Something is up." I do not lie - every e-mail carried the same content - "I don't know what it is but something is about to happen. I can feel it, I can sense it, I heard it in my prayers..." All across the land people are getting messages to prepare. Should we expect something big enough to interrupt delivery of provisions for six months? Should we expect an attack or natural disaster? They are saying the Madrid fault line is overdue to erupt. They are saying the big San Francisco quake is overdue. And of course we know how Iran wants to destroy Israel and the US, not to mention the heavy breathing in Russia and China... We cannot know yet what this warning is. It is not specific, but our government knows something - they know something specific - and it is irresponsible that they are not warning the American people. I can understand their not wanting to create a panic, but Homeland Security should come out with more urgency for preparations than just, "terror chatter is high..." Someone somewhere should be talking turkey to American citizens... Makes me wonder how much our presidential candidates and their VP choices know - could this be the reason Joe Biden put his foot in his mouth yesterday when he announced our enemies would surely test Barack Obama if he was elected president - and that testing would come within six months of the election? Hmmm - Joe Biden isn't sharp enough to think this up all by his lonesome. If our enemies want to take us down while we are vulnerable, they won't wait six months to do it, they will do it NOW - while we are economically weakened and while our people are politically and culturally divided. Of course, being the talker and non-doer that he is, Joe Biden will probably wait four more months to prepare. Most of us can't prepare the way we want to, especially considering the fact that money is tight right now, and considering the additional fact that we don't know what we are preparing for. Will it be an earthquake that destroys highways and whole cities, will it be fires and storms, might it be an eruption beneath the Mississippi all the way to the Great Lakes that empties the lake and overtakes one third of the country? Or will it be a tsunami from an oceanic earthquake - one that takes the west coast and one that takes the east coast - since both have been seen in prophetic visions, though not at the same time. Or will it be an attack, an invasion, a situation that calls for martial law and citizen defense with whatever guns and weapons the town fathers, the farmers and Joe the plumbers may have at hand. We can thank God for the framers of our Constitution that provided the second amendment that allows our citizens to defend their homes and their families. And God help any man or woman, be he or she president or senator or speaker of the House, who tries to take them away from us. Thank God for the American Rifle Association, the National Guard in every State, and the small town gun collectors who will distribute their personal arms and share the responsibility with other ready small town defenders. Your speculation is like mine - it could be a combination of both...we just don't know when or where it will hit. We can only know this many people cannot be whistling in the dark. Some of us have known for years this was coming, we just didn't have a fix on the timing. We still don't, but we know it is on the way and even our government knows it... If the Lord has spoken to your heart with any information at all, we want to hear from you. Meanwhile, keep your eyes and ears open and prepare as best you can, and build your faith even more so. Many are preparing their own larders in order to help feed those that cannot prepare. It will be a time of ministry – a time of sharing God’s abiding love… God will not see His children begging bread.
