"THE TRUTH IS..."

"Along The Campaign Trail"

President John F. Kennedy once said, "Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future."

I wonder what former President John F. Kennedy would say to the Justices of the US Supreme Court of 1973 (just ten years after his assassination), and the current Justices of the US Supreme Court (forty-four years after his assassination)?

He would of course note that there are different faces in the Chambers, but that Roe v. Wade, thrust without any real warning into the American culture without consideration of the consequences, has not yet become a dead horse. Neither does it remain a viable one. Although it clings tenaciously to a fading strength by a single red thread, it is still spitting out verdicts of death by the knife for multiplied thousands of helpless American children.

Pro-choice advocates have been taught these discards are non-people but God has called them “children” (Genesis 25:22). When Rebecca, wife of Isaac, consulted the Lord concerning the continuous struggling within her previously barren belly, He explained to her that two nations were in her womb, two manner of people, one would be stronger than the other and the elder would serve the younger. They were “children” fighting it out even in the womb, and the struggle between Jacob and Esau continues to this day.

When Gabriel visited the young Mary he said to her, “You shall conceive…and bring forth a son…” Mary had not known any man so Gabriel explained that the Holy Ghost would come upon her and the power of the Highest would overshadow her. God, the Creator, merely had to speak the thing and the Word of God became flesh. The Pre-Incarnate Christ, the Almighty God, became a Seed in Mary’s womb, a developing child growing bones and muscles in a dark warm place, sucking its thumb, kicking its feet, flailing its hands, and pushing its little butt into Mom’s belly button. He was the Christ, the second Person of the Holy Trinity, encased in a house of mortal flesh, born Son of God and Son of Man (humanity)…

I am reminded of a sickly, dying, deranged King Herod who gave orders to  his brawny soldiers to put to the sword all the male children two years of age and under that were in Bethlehem. Herod would not allow a Jewish babe, born under the sign of a star, prophesied by the prophets of old to be the Messiah King of Israel to usurp his throne. Herod’s throne would pass to Herod’s son, no matter how many children he had to kill...

I wonder how President Kennedy would respond to the wasting of our most valuable resource with abortion on demand. I wonder how he would respond to the current administration’s foreign policy with Israel and with Israel’s enemies, favoring the favor of the oil barons of terrorist regimes as our most valuable resource, replacing the Lord’s heritage of children and the blessings that would surely come with our blessing of Israel with the betrayal of God’s Covenant with Israel and the betrayal of our little ones in the wombs of America.

With one third of the younger generations slaughtered before they could be born, where will our future teachers come from? Where will we draw our adequate police forces from? Where will we find adequate forces for our military services – our hospitals – our research laboratories – our fields of science? And where will we find growth with one third of our growth potential already buried? Will there be trust among the ranks of the two thirds that are left? Will these work together or will they - like the liberal politicians of today - lunge at each others’ throats with contempt and name calling?

President John F. Kennedy was a Democrat. His was the last Democrat Administration that was truly mindful of the strengths and weaknesses of the American people. He was a Democrat with courage who looked Nikita Khrushchev in the eye and defied Russia’s aggression with a warning across the bow – “Turn those ships away from the Caribbean and return them to Russia at once or else…”

No president after that seemed to measure up to the political charisma of John Kennedy until Ronald Reagan came along. He was a Republican with his own fair share of courage, (“Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall…”). He also had a fair share of Democrat stubbornness, and he sported both courage and stubbornness as they were needed. You see, he had a vision for this land and these people, and moving it forward would require the courage of a God-trusting Republican and the stubbornness of a God-fearing Democrat. Ronald Reagan once said of Israel:

“Israel exists; it has a right to exist in peace behind secure and defensible borders; and it has a right to demand of its neighbors that they recognize those facts. I have personally followed and supported Israel's heroic struggle for survival, ever since the founding of the State of Israel 34 years ago. In the pre-1967 borders Israel was barely 10 miles wide at its narrowest point. The bulk of Israel's population lived within artillery range of hostile Arab armies. I am not about to ask Israel to live that way again.”

And Ronald Reagan never did. President Bush once made the same commitment, but then he reneged…

The so-called Middle East Peace Process (or Road Map) began with the Oslo accords in 1993 – during President Bill Clinton’s administration. It didn’t bother Bill Clinton to ask an already wearied people to give up part of their God-given Covenant land. And it hasn’t bothered George W. Bush.

There is no glory, no victory and certainly no heroic legacy in their demands, there can only be shame when a proud and powerful regime demands that an infant regime share its tiny land strip with terrorists.

Listen to me – Israel was conceived in Syria, born in Syria and Canaan (Benjamin alone was born in Canaan), raised up and multiplied in Egypt. It came to its manhood in the Promised Land and it was in the Promised Land that Israel came to languish at the hands of the Romans. Cast out like a dirty old rag, Israel struggled for 1,900 years to live, languishing from day to day, year to year, century to century…

In 1948 she was born again – not of the spirit – but of the flesh. One must always be born of the flesh before they can be born-again of the spirit. Sixty years ago Israel was born again of the flesh. Today they are preparing to be born again of the Spirit. When it happens, the new Temple will be rebuilt and Israel will rise up like a pack of lions called forth by God.

Our roots paved the way for their tomorrows while our tomorrows lay at the feet of their roots. Israel will survive the curses and betrayals of today but will America survive the betrayal and curses of its leaders?

Clinton and Bush - a Democrat and a Republican – their administrations back to back - the only two American presidents to utterly betray a trust to defend and protect the land and people of Israel. Surely these ARE the last days and these two administrations have been preparing the way for the last days’ wars… They have had neither the courage, the faith nor the stubbornness to stand for the truth that God has given to all men - the truth that Israel is the apple of God’s eye and if one touches Israel with malice or deceit – or even touches the prophecies of Israel with disdain, he releases God’s wrath and he shall learn God’s justice...

Regarding Jerusalem – God said He would make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people and whosoever tries to lift it would be cut in pieces (Zechariah 12:3). Though the whole world should be gathered together against it, Jerusalem will not be moved.

Warning! Leave Jerusalem alone. It is the eternal city of God and the inheritance of the Messiah.

Men of Israel and earth beware! “The Lord shall inherit Judah, His portion in the Holy Land, and shall choose Jerusalem once again.” (Zechariah 2:12) – dare you trade and gamble that which belongs to God?

Israel’s destiny is already determined. It will come to pass as it is written. As for this nation and these people, the next administration will determine the fate of America.

So, what have we seen so far?

I do not recall mean-spirited political shenanigans in this country prior to the administration of President Bill Clinton. Prior to his administration there was civility and respect. Candidates prior to the year 2000 conducted themselves as statesmen, worthy ambassadors of the greatest nation in the world, men who would never stoop to the dirty politics of today, nor would they consider demeaning the revered title, "Mr. President." They may dislike the man, disapprove or disagree with his policies, but they would never demean him in public - they would respect the office if not the man.

Bill Clinton left the legacy of his philosophy that there are no absolutes, corrupting three generations of Americans who believed the lies and threw out the positive absolutes that assured moral clarity and our treasured American heritage of Christian goodness. Hillary helped - she is still helping...she too claims no absolutes, no spiritual guidance, no real plan except for raising taxes and socializing our medical practices. God help us all...she is willing to sell us out to the UN and the E.U. one world government, signing away our sovereignty and tearing down our defenses. If she is elected she will finish what Bill started - and very soon we will find ourselves mourning the America we have known...

I tremble at the thought of a Hillary Clinton at the helm of our armed forces, at the helm of our space program, the education of our children, the security of our borders, and the freedoms of our Churches and our evangelicals who spread the Gospel to the world. I tremble at a Hillary that has very little if any conscience or compassion for the will of the people - truly - if Hillary is elected she will do as she pleases - right or wrong -  the one thing we have found troubling with President Bush these past three years. He is managing more and more to turn our voices off and ignore them. If Hillary is elected, it would be worse than it already is...

In his January 20, 1961 Inaugural Address in Washington, D.C., President Elect John F. Kennedy said, "If a free society cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich."

In the same speech he also said, "So let us begin anew, remembering on both sides that civility is not a sign of weakness and sincerity is always subject to proof. Let us never negotiate out of fear. But let us never fear to negotiate."

And, in the same speech, " With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth God's work must truly be our own."

History will indeed be the final judge of our deeds, and the One who records all for eternity's archives, will apply the justice that will seal earth's historical accounts. Just as history began as recorded in God’s Holy Word, its continuation will be recorded in the tomorrows of all men until Jesus returns to take His throne over all.

I am still sorting through the candidates of this presidential campaign. It is a crucial campaign, and will be a crucial election. It will mean the fate of America and perhaps millions of Americans. We want the reins in the hands of a capable and God-fearing leader who will storm Heaven's gates for us, plead for us, and reach out to us and hear us.

I have scooted around Romney - he did not confront the moral climate in Massachusetts and he will not confront it in America. It is more comfortable for him to maintain the status quo. I have ruled out Guliani – he openly and admittedly supports abortion and gay rights. I have ruled out Thompson – he is lazy and aloof. I do believe in the strength and experiences of John McCain. He is a good man with deep convictions that he will never compromise. But I am also watching Mike Huckabee, a man that is almost too good to be true, almost too perfect, and a man that could very well be the choice of the powers of Heaven. I am waiting for confirmation on that. So I will have to say at this time that my support will most likely go to Mike Huckabee or John McCain...unless I hear otherwise from the Lord…

There is not a single Democrat following in the steps of Franklin D. Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy or Harry S. Truman. All three front-runner candidates are radically liberal - bad news for America and for America-loving Americans.

They do not represent the America that once was – they do not represent the people that do indeed cry for change – but who want change in morals, ethics and domestic values, secure borders, immigration enforcement and a guard over Social Security. Stop giving our Social Security benefits to illegal immigrants. Stop trying to parent our kids for us – we want to raise them, teach them and discipline them ourselves. And take your perverted ideas of first amendment correctness i.e. sexual freedom, abortion, homosexuality, bans on Christian symbols, bans on Christian expression, stripped parental authority etc. out of our schools, out of our communities  and out of our faces – they are the slime pits of America’s soul…

It’s about the economy, dummy, but not only the economy – you talk of health care, raising taxes, etc. and you miss the whole thing. You are not ready to lead this country into the new millennium. You don’t even know what this country is all about. You see us as part of a one-world government, surrendering our sovereignty to the EU and the UN who will impose socialized standards and tax burden our people even more. Shame on you for even listening to such proposals…

I believe the next election will be so crucial we cannot wait to prepare ourselves for the day of electoral reckoning. We have to do our homework and our prayer time now. Our future, our children’s future and the future of all our posterity will hinge on the decisions we make in November 2008. I believe the new administration will be the answer to our prayers if we sincerely seek God’s Grace.

And I believe the strength of that administration, in the fear and love of God, will overturn Roe v. Wade and restore prayer to the schools, and to the streets of America. I believe the ACLU will crumble, the IRS will be dissolved, and a new energy source, an ethanol made of our garbage, will fill our automobiles for less than a buck a gallon and we will be delivered from the strangling of Ali-Baba and his forty  thieves.

I believe the end time prophecies will be fulfilled, one by one, in rapid succession, and that the generation that saw the fig tree budding, (Israel  become a nation in 1948) will lead the resurrected and ascending saints into the heavens to meet the Lord in the clouds.

I believe Israel will regain all her promised territories, establish her new borders, and the Palestinians will flee the lands of Israel in fear for their lives – when they see Damascus burning – (Isaiah 17). I believe Gog of Magog will march after the destruction of Damascus, and I believe Israel will sign a peace treaty with many after that – the treaty with death himself, who is the antichrist that is to come…

Seven years later, Christ will return to defend and deliver Israel once again and the armies of the world will be destroyed by the brightness of His coming. The New Jerusalem will descend from the heavens over the Middle East – it will be the home of the Bride and her Bridegroom Christ for the next thousand years as Christ rules the earth for a millennium long honeymoon.

We are so very close. If the generation that saw the fig tree budding will not pass away before all these things be fulfilled, and I am 75 years old (I was 15 years old on May 14, 1948), then seven more years of tribulation would indeed make a soul my age a rather elderly person. I doubt we have even a few years left. May we watch for and love His appearing…

Expect to be greeted by myriads of babies in Heaven, not from this country only but from all over the world. Expect to be greeted by a smiling and Fatherly Christ who loves the little children. And expect to be fully aware of the impact of your political choices at the 2008 polls. If you choose wrong, those you love who are left behind will have to endure the consequences of those choices…

I believe the final and finest leader in America will be a presidential son of faith and obedience to the Almighty God, with an evangelical administration that reaches far across the expanses of the continents of the world, reaching into the hearts wounded by the deceits of corrupt regimes, needing a hand that will help lead them to the Cross of Christ and new beginnings. He will make no apologies to the atheist or the pagan, nor will he allow them to step on our rights.

This is America, one nation under God. If those of a different persuasion want to live here, let them do so in peace and in silence. This is a Christian land that will not yield its faith or its God to lesser gods…

Who will stand with me on the Lord’s side?
