Betrayal Of Trust It was unexpected. It was sneaky. It was heart-wrenching. It smacked of betrayal. I want to kick the wall... There comes a time now and then when a person needs to vent. This is one of those times. I need to get it out in the open. Be patient with me, please. I am so rattled I may not be coherent with my rambling, but I am going to ramble just the same... If Israel had any hopes at all for a working love affair with Condi Rice, they soon buried those hopes in the trash heap of trouble. They had hoped she would be a breath of fresh air that would blow away the open bias of Colin Powell. But Israel didn't get a working love affair. Our gracious Secretary of State left them instead with the dread of a fatal attraction. She informed Israeli leaders that the Palestinians must have a "contiguous" state in order for it to be functional. That word "contiguous" means "touching," meaning that the West Bank must be functionally landbridged to the Gaza Strip. Such a plan would split Israel in half. Would this mean Israel would have to give up all the southern territories? If not, do you think we are stupid enough to believe that the Palestinians would grant right of way for Israel through Palestinian territories to Israel's southern half? Safely? And wouldn't this contiguous state give the Palestinians right of way to annex southern Israel to their own state? Please Condi - explain yourself... I feel betrayed! As a Christian and an American citizen who cares deeply for the Covenant Land and the Israeli people, I feel personally betrayed by an administration I voted for, trusted, and supported all the way. I want to kick the wall... Is President Bush suffering from lack of Biblical knowledge? Or is he appeasing Israel's neighbors to avoid a nuclear war in the Middle East? What is going on? He knows - as we all do - that you can negotiate away half your kingdom, but it will never satisfy the demands of terrorists who hate you and want you driven into the sea. And he knows - as we all do - that the terror is not going to cease even if all parties agree and sign on the dotted line. So, how long can Bush tell Israel how high to jump, withhold aid if she doesn't comply, and retain Israel's trust, especially now that the "contiguous" bomb has been dropped in Israel's lap. Pardon me, Mr. President, but you are playing a high stakes game of chess here. I am aware that many, including world leaders, have advised you concerning the Middle East and maybe that is the problem. You have heard too many voices... Of course, if the concerns of these trusted counselors have already convinced you to sacrifice Israel for the free flow of oil, as some believe, then you are definitely on the right track. The sacrifice is well under way. In the end God will curse Israel for listening to you instead of listening to Him, and He will curse America because American leaders betrayed Israel. America has enough sins to be judged for, Mr. President. America has enough blood on it's hands (40 million unborn babies), enough broken promises to repent of, and enough ongoing abominations that too many Americans are not willing to put down. Because we are and have been the only committed friend Israel has, we are and have been so greatly God-Blessed in our own land. But a White House endorsement for dividing the land of Israel will bring the greatest curse on America God can call down upon us. Don't think for a moment that God will protect us because we are a Christian nation, or because half the world's Jewish population lives in the United States. We are not the star that crowns the Christmas tree. Jerusalem is the center of the earth, says the Lord of Hosts. The whole world revolves around Israel and whatever happens in Israel affects the entire globe. That's the way God established it and that's the way it is. Therefore, when you touch the apple of God's eye with betrayal or with a curse, you can sell your best pony because nothing can save you from His fury and His wrath. Let Israel make his own decisions and his own agreements! Israel should not have to give up one inch of his land. I remind you that the land God gave him is many times the size Israel is today. The God-given borders of Israel would take half of Syria, right up to Hamath, including Mt. Herman, the head waters that flow into the Jordan, and the seacoasts of Tyre and Sidon. It would take two thirds of Iraq (all the way to the Euphrates River), all of Jordan, the northern territories of Saudi Arabia and south to the Nile River of Egypt. The Word of the Lord to Abraham was: "Unto your seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates" (Genesis 15:18). Did you know, Mr. President, that Goshen is east of the Nile river? All those years the children of Jacob were in bondage in Goshen, they were within the boundaries of their Promised Land. Do you think Egypt would give it up in a peace agreement? I doubt it, since Israel has instead been forced to surrender the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt in exchange for peace. Israel has been forced to give and give and give. And now the sons of Edom want to take half of what is left! God is jealous for His land and for His people because this is Holy Covenant land. It has already been divided by the British with the Balfour Declaration and the UN with its TransJordan resolution, which by the way was never honored by Jordan or claimed by the Palestinians. If my memory serves me correctly, these declarations provided a territory for a Palestinian state in TransJordan but Jordan usurped that land and to this day declares it Jordan territory. Why not pull up that resolution, go after Jordan and hold them accountable to give it back to the Palestinians for their state? Why must tiny Israel be sacrificed? Hasn't he lost enough to the Middle East squatters? You see, God has already worked it out - it is already set in stone - it is already established by His Word and our word doesn't mean a whole heck of a lot unless it agrees with His. And God says ALL the land will be returned to Israel when Christ sets up His kingdom, and that could be just around the corner - less than a decade away... Why do you think the battle of Armageddon will be fought? The nations that oppose the existence of Israel will fight Jesus Christ over these lands. They will try to stop Him from setting up His kingdom. God says these armies will lose. Actually, they will be annihilated for raising their arrogant fist against the Holy One of Israel. It is a worrisome thing, Mr. President, that right now, your word to Israel and God's Word do not agree. Can you explain this to me, Mr. President? Do you really want to face Jesus and hear Him ask, "Why did you insist on dividing my land? Why did you work so hard to separate my people from their inheritance and give it to their enemies?" I was up all night pouring my heart and soul out to the Father concerning these things. I was crushed, even frightened for you, for Israel, for America. I prayed, I asked questions, I had a long conversation with the Father that went something like this: "Please Father, do something!" "What would you have me do?" "Something spectacular so Israel will know you haven't abandoned him." "Something spectacular? You want me to be a show-off?" "Why not? You parted the Red Sea. You divided the Jordan - sent plagues on Egypt, sent floods against Sisera's nine hundred iron chariots, brought down the walls of Jericho and even allowed the sun to stand still for Joshua. Remember Samson - remember Gideon's three hundred faithful - remember the 1967 war? Remember the pillar of fire by day and the cloud by night? The manna from Heaven? All these things were spectacular. You tell me in your Word to put you in remembrance and that is what I am doing - putting you in remembrance of the many ways you defended Israel in the past. Please Lord, do something!" "I haven't abandoned Israel. Israel has abandoned me. I will not interfere in the free will of men who do not listen to me. Their cry is not for me, their cry is for peace and safety. I say unto you, they will dig a pit and they will fall into it. Then, for the sake of the land, and for my own Name's sake, I will do something." I was reminded of His Word: "When they shall say peace and safety, sudden destruction cometh upon them." Yesterday I read an article on www.DEBKAfile.net. It reported vital information Sharon had received from his intelligence souces but did not share with his government before they voted on the evacuation of the Jewish communities in Gaza and the West Bank. This information could have changed the way the parties voted. In this regard, Sharon betrayed his own government. He was not honest with them. He wanted his votes and he got his votes, then he signed the papers immediately to make the decision legal and official. So what did Sharon hide from the Knesset? According to the intelligence report, the Palestinians, Hizballah and even the Revolutionary Guards of Iran, secretly stationed in Syria, just 40 km. north of Damascus, are planning massive attacks on the Israeli troops and 8,000 Israeli citizens as they exodus out of Gaza. They are planting hundreds of bombs along the evacuation route. Hizballah and Iran pledged an additional one million dollars each to help fund the operation. Just days ago, Israeli soldiers dug up twenty-two of these roadside bombs, some as heavy as 70 kilos. Anti-aircraft and anti-tank air-to-surface missiles are being smuggled in from Egypt for an assault on Israeli helicopters, drones and tanks. It is a horrible plan for a merciless holocaust. Today I read that Egypt demands the Israeli troops leave the Egyptian/Gaza border immediately but Israel says it will not leave until the evacuations are complete. The troops are there to stop the flow of arms smuggling across the border. Sounds like Egypt may be supporting this uprising as well. It is the betrayal in progress that prompted Sharon's betrayal of the Knesset that unknowingly voted to put 8,000 Jewish citizens in Gaza in harm's way. In the same article, in the section re: the American Front, I was surprised to read that President Bush and Condi Rice have withdrawn from the Israeli/Palestinian negotiations, telling Sharon and Abbas they will not accept any responsibility for the disengagements. That was a surprising word since President Bush has heretofore publicly supported it. Now, all of a sudden, the White House will be aloof - detached - divorced from it! Papers, reports, letters, etc. concerning their dispute will not even be allowed to cross the desks of President Bush and Condi Rice. Mind you, all of these events have happened within days of each other and all within this past week... Did President Bush receive a Divine wake-up call at last? Or is Bush withdrawing because of the threat of an exodus holocaust? I am sure he received the same intelligence report Sharon received. But the real shocker lay near the conclusion of the article: Near the bottom of the report, under "The European Front," I read that Sharon was so stunned by the White House withdrawal from the dispute that he sent his top aide to London and Brussels to report it to the European Union, in spite of the fact that the EU Foreign Policy High Representative, Javier Solana, had already conveyed a secret assurance to Mahmoud Abbas not to be concerned with the cool winds blowing from Washington, that after the pullout in Gaza was complete, the EU would stage a "big" international conference to work on the final status accord between Israel and the Palestinians. The peace treaty with "the many" just may be on the drawing board. Scriptures tell us that it will be presented to Israel by the antichrist. Unless God ordains further delay in this dispute, that presentation is at the door. Sixty-three year-old Javier Solana is the new High Representative of Foreign Affairs of the EU from which comes the WEU (Western European Union) in which only ten nations (the ten kings of the revived Roman Empire) are permanent members with full voting rights, and who, incidentally, have given Solana his unprecedented power and authority. Javier Solana has been given authority to draft and sign treaties, he has been given authority over all EU funds and the military alliance of the WEU through Assembly Recommendation 666. It is this office of High Representative that will produce the antichrist, whether it will be Solana or a down-the-road successor. As to his Roman connection - He is a member of the Club Of Rome, a prominant club of bankers and world leaders who are members by invitation only, and whose vision and goal is a one-world government. This is bigger than the EU vision for a United States of Europe, this is the revival of the Roman Empire. The EU will do it's bidding, under the authority of the High Representative for Foreign Affairs, and the Middle East will not escape it's far-reaching clutches. Neither will America... Is Javier Solana the beast the Apostle John saw coming out of the sea? I am not saying he is, and I am not saying he isn't. I am saying that all these things began coming together in the early 1970s when a few European nations gave birth to the EU by consolidating their coal and steel industries. I remember how excited we were to see prophecy being fulfilled before our eyes. We followed this closely. That was thirty five years ago. Our time table is not always God's time table but today all the pieces of the puzzle fit together very well. We will just have to wait and see - and watch and listen... Does President Bush know all this? I am sure he does! Perhaps this is why he pulled back from the negotiations. Perhaps this is why he is so determined to bring democracy to the oppressed nations of the world. Democracy gives birth to freedom and when oppressed people taste freedom for the first time they never want to lose it again. It is a commendable vision our President has, a caring hand reaching out to the fearful and the hurting, an offer of hope to strengthen them for the days to come. He cannot preach Christ to them but the compassion of his personal faith is a thundering testimony to the world. Whether they love him or hate him, they cannot deny the thunder. During Bush's visit to Europe, before discussions got underway, Solana arrogantly announced there was no need to discuss the existence of Bush's God. This is understandable. The very presence of righteousness in the company of wickedness is a convicting force that provokes that wickedness to defend itself. The righteous man does not even have to speak. His presence is enough to draw venom from the spirit of lawlessness. On the same trip President Bush dined with Javier Solana. I wonder if he looked into Solana's eyes the way he did Vladimir Putin's? He said he saw Putin's soul. If he did look into Solana's eyes, what did he see? Chances are, he will never tell... The treaty, if all goes according to Solana's promise to Mahmoud Abbas, can come as soon as October. Rosh Hashana (Feast of Trumpets) is October 4, Yom Kippur is Oct. 14. The Jews have long anticipated the arrival of Messiah at the Feast of Trumpets. The disengagment will take eight weeks, so says Prime Minister Sharon. If they begin on schedule, July 20, or a few days thereafter, that will take them to September 20 or the end of September, barely a week or ten days before the Feast of Trumpets - and Solana's treaty with Israel, the promise of peace for seven years, which he will break in three and a half years. If negotiations break down, if war breaks out, if there is a holocaust of Jewish families and soldiers, if there is civil war in Israel, if there is any reason to stop the process, everything will go on hold for a little while longer. I personally believe the treaty will be delayed. You see, Solana's new office and the EU budget begins in January 2007 and it will be for seven years. If Solana is the beast, the treaty could be delayed until then. If Solana is not the beast, another will take his place before 2007. I forwarded a copy to Bud Millington who replied: "I asked the Lord what Bush should do and He said, ' Bush cannot force Israel to follow the scriptures so he must divorce himself from the dispute.' " So, apparently, President Bush has been listening to God after all! Maybe there is another angle to this "contiguous" two state solution... I know he is a friend to Israel. I know he cares deeply and will stand by them though others of less understanding have cast them aside. I wonder - could he be thinking that his threat of a "contiguous border" might bring Israel to his senses? Cause him to bolt? Is Bush gambling on the limits Israel will go to in this deal of land for peace? Could the "contiguous" idea be a stumbling block Bush has thrown out there to stop Sharon's madness before it is too late? Could this whole push be a gamble that Israel will open his eyes and see the handwriting on the wall? Is this a brilliant game of chess? I understand that in politics all the chess games are played out for a reason. Harry Truman had a great moment when he gave the order to drop the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, saving millions of American and Japanese lives that could have been lost if the war in the Pacific had been allowed to continue. The invasion of Japan would have been terribly costly for both sides. John Kennedy had a great moment when he ordered the Russian ships taking nuclear missiles to Cuba to turn around and return to Russia or face the consequences, a breath-taking gamble. Ronald Reagan had some really great moments. His famous, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall" will never be forgotten. He had been advised not to say it but Ronald Reagan had faith and a determination of his own. He was resolute, he spoke it directly, loud and clear, and a decade later the wall came tumbling down. And, last but not least, the January 2005 chess game when President Bush thwarted Vladimir Putin's thugs by sending hundreds of cases of vodka to the would-be opposition rioters in the Ukraine, squelching their voices in the Orange Revolution and giving this former Russian satellite nation a victory for independence and democracy. He could have sent in the military to handle the situation, but he didn't. Vodka-sodden rioters cannot stop or threaten a free and honest election. They took the bait and the election was over before they sobered up. It was a brilliant move. All great men have great moments. Bud Millington shared a meaningful word with me: God told Bud that Israel is Bush's achilles heel. I wish I could sneak into Bush's mind... The Lord has assured me He will "do something" for His own Name's sake when the time is right. And I know He will. In the meantime... I still want to kick the wall... Joan Krempel
